The Old Stores Cottage

Welcome to Millers Dale Holiday Cottages

Situated in the beautiful village of Millers Dale, near Tideswell in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District.

The singing birds in the tranquil hills welcome you to one of the most beautiful places in the country. Millers Dale is situated on the River Wye in the heart of the Peak District, hugged by breathtaking views and the opportunity to experience nature at its best all year round.

You can take outstanding walks from your front door or visit one of the local historic towns such as Buxton, Bakewell, Castleton or Eyam. Millers Dale has its own country pub serving good food and cask ale and is just 2 miles away from Tideswell. Whatever your holiday choice this quaint little village has gateways to all.

We have two holiday cottages in the village. 1 Rock View is a cosy country cottage sleeping three. The full gas central heating together with the gas fuelled coal burner makes this a warm and inviting cottage all year round. The Old Stores sleeps four. This bungalow has been converted with great character from the village shop and tea-room of the Victorian era. It is Norwegian timbered style and panelled throughout with antique pine

The Old Stores sleeps four - this bungalow has been converted with great character from the village shop and tea-room of the Victorian era. It is Norwegian timbered style and panelled throughout with antique pine.

The dining room has double glazed patio doors opening on to the lawn with garden furniture and your own private access to Monks Dale, here a stream runs by the side of the garden though it tends to dry up in mid to late summer.

The lounge has comfy sofas, an open fire for winter evenings, digital TV, DVD and video player. There are views across to the River Wye and the old water wheel.

The kitchen with its back door opening to the drying area has an electric cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine etc. There are two bedrooms, one a double and one with twin beds. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. There is off road parking. The property is close to the road so you may experience some road noise at times.
