Welcome to Common Barn Farm

Our traditional working sheep farm is situated at 1200 ft above sea level, on the quiet, unspoiled western side of the Peak District National Park. We enjoy excellent open countryside with far-reaching views over the Cheshire Plain to the Welsh mountains. On the farm we have five Bed and Breakfast rooms, plus two self catering holiday cottages in tastefully converted stone barns - Croft Cottage which sleeps six, and Meadow Cottage which sleeps four. The holiday cottages can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 people. Camping and caravanning available by arrangement. We have facilities for small conferences (up to 25 people) and broadband wireless internet access on site. Our holiday cottages and B & B are ideally located for exploring the magnificent scenery of the Peak District and Cheshire, as well as for visiting the stately homes in the area, such as Chatsworth House. The village of Rainow has excellent pubs that serve homemade food (lifts can be arranged). The historic towns of Macclesfield and Buxton are just minutes away. We run a tea shop on the farm, open daily. Our Peak District Environmental Quality Mark 'Lamaload Lamb' is sold from the farm and through local deliveries. Bed and Breakfast Common Barn Farm B&B Accommodation Our Bed and Breakfast accommodation is ideal for groups, families, couples and individuals. It is the perfect base for exploring the Peak District, Lyme Park, and Cheshire, as well as being convenient for commuting to the South Manchester area. All rooms have wireless broadband, en suite bathrooms with power showers, and tea/coffee-making facilities. One room with an en suite wet room is particularly suitable for disabled guests. Plenty of parking is available. Unfortunately, we cannot accept dogs. From £32.50 per person per night, based on two people sharing. Single occupancy from £45 per night. We also have a family room available which sleeps 4, for £90 per room per night. Our views are only beaten by our farmhouse breakfasts - stay with us and taste for yourself! Self Catering Cottages Croft Cottage Common Barn Farm Self Catering Accommodation - Croft Cottage Croft Cottage is a fabulous two storey stone barn conversion renovated to a very high standard. The spacious interior retains many of its original features and benefits from luxurious underfloor heating. Accommodation consists of lounge with integral kitchen/dining room, bathroom with power shower over bath, and 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk. Services include oil central heating/underfloor heating, all fuel and power included in rent, bed linen and towels included in rent, large colour TV with free-view channels, DVD player, microwave, patio, garden furniture, and plenty of off-road parking. Meadow Cottage Common Barn Farm Self Catering Accommodation - Meadow Cottage Meadow Cottage is a lovely two storey stone barn conversion renovated to a very high standard.
