Burton Manor Farm has six self-catering holiday cottages created out of converted former farm buildings, situated on a traditional working family farm near Over Haddon, Bakewell, in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
Our nearest town is the market town of Bakewell, the administrative centre of the Peak District National Park, which offers a wide selection of shops, eating places, a weekly market, swimming pool and ample car parking.
Most of the other major attractions of the Peak District are only a short drive away. Perhaps this is why our guests return, with so much to do and explore you can not possibly hope to see everything in just one visit.
The cottages are equipped to a high standard and enjoy an elevated position offering exceptional views as well as providing an ideal base for visitors to the Peak District National Park.
There are excellent walks right from the door, as well as opportunities nearby for other outdoor activities such as cycling, mountain biking, rock-climbing and hang-gliding.

Ashford Cottage is all on the ground floor, making it suitable for people with limited mobility.

Brendan View is a first floor apartment that accommodates up to four guests and features exposed beams that date back to the time when it was still part of the farm's barn.

Haddon Cottage offers accommodation for up to 4 people and being all on ground floor level is particularly suitable for visitors with mobility difficulties.

Lathkill Barn caters for up to three guests and occupies the south facing gable end of the former barn building.
The large windows and patio doors dominate the open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area making this a particularly bright and airy place to stay.
The kitchen at Lathkill Barn has to be one of nicest places you could want to prepare a meal, ample natural light, plenty of uncluttered space and of course a full sized oven, hob and microwave. Shared freezer facilities are available within the utilities / games room.
The full height doors and windows in Lathkill Barn open directly onto the garden area, ideal for allowing a cooling breeze on a summers day or early evening. If the weather is not so kind then there is of course a colour television and a DVD player and ample comfortable seating for all.
Lathkill Barn has two bedrooms, a double and a single which also make good use of their position within the gable and have unusual windows that help to retain the character of the building. The bathroom has toilet, bath with shower over and a handbasin.

Monsal Cottage sleeps 2 people and is all on ground floor level so is particularly suitable for visitors of limited mobility.

Wragg Barn is designed to accommodate up to 8 people in comfort and everything about it is spacious, no sofa beds, bunk beds or other space saving gimmicks.
In addition to the rooms shown here Wragg Barn also benefits from a cloak room, ideal for getting all of those walking boots and coats out of the way.
The large kitchen in Wragg Barn is equipped with everything you need to cater for the larger group. In addition to the oven, hob and microwave there are extensive worktop areas as well as a freezer and dishwasher. With 8 people to cater for we know you will appreciate these extra features.
The separate dining area features a large wooden table and easily seats the 8 people Wragg Barn was designed for. This space is also ideal for card and board games, studying the map for tomorrow's walk or just a little peace and quiet from the main lounge.
After a hard days enjoyment you deserve a comfortable place to rest and recover. Like the rest of Wragg Barn the lounge is designed to provide everything you could want. Space to stretch out, relax and unwind as well as a television and dvd player to make sure that you don't miss your favourites. A large patio window makes this room particularly light and airy.
There are four bedrooms in Wragg Barn, two doubles (one of which has en-suite facilities) and two with twin beds. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet.
